Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 30, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use shorebreak.net, including people who rely on assistive technology. We build to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard and treat accessibility as part of the job, not an afterthought.
What we do
- Semantic HTML with proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate.
- A "skip to content" link and full keyboard operability — every interactive control can be reached and used without a mouse.
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see where they are.
- Text and interface colors chosen for sufficient contrast against our dark theme.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting — animations are minimized for visitors who prefer that.
- Forms with clear labels and accessible submit controls.
Known limitations
We're honest about where we're still improving. A few decorative animations and visual effects are part of the brand; we work to keep them from interfering with readability or assistive technology, and we honor reduced-motion preferences. If you hit something that's hard to use, please tell us — real feedback is the fastest way we find and fix barriers.
Tell us about a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you need information in a different format, contact us:
Email: sales@shorebreak.net
Phone: (858) 322-0509
We aim to respond within 5 business days, and we'll work with you to provide the information or service you need while we fix the underlying issue.
Accessibility in the sites we build
We apply the same standard to the websites we build for clients. Accessibility is built into how we design and develop, so the sites we ship aren't just fast and good-looking — they're usable by more people, and that's good for our clients too.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is never "done." We review the site as we update it and improve it over time. This statement will be updated as we make changes.
